This honey obtained from flowers, which are called forest roses, usually have purple and tone colors but can also be seen in different types of yellow and white colors, is produced a lot in places where the Black Sea climate prevails in our country, especially in the Eastern Black Sea.

Even the small amount of people who are not accustomed to mad honey causes health problems. It is used as a blood pressure lowering under the supervision of a doctor in Europe. The substance grayanotoxin contained in bitter honey causes poisoning. Symptoms include; heart rhythm disorder, burning in the throat, redness of the skin and eye, nausea, vomiting, itching in the mouth and nose, increase in saliva, blurred vision or temporary blindness, headache and rotation, diarrhea, low blood pressure, loss of consciousness. It is used in folk medicine for stomach pain, sugar in intestinal disorders and high blood pressure. It is recommended not to consume more than one teaspoon.
